Tim Owens is the Consumer Lending Consumer Vehicle Lending Executive, leading a national network of approximately 300 employees who working directly with clients or with more than 9,000 dealerships to provide vehicle financing. Sales professionals provide clients a streamlined product with a range of financing options for their personal or small business auto lending needs, including purchase of recreational vehicles and access vehicles. In 2018, Consumer Vehicle Lending achieved $50.5 billion in ending balances.
Previous to this role, Owens served as the Retail Sales Executive, leading a national network of more than 10 divisions of approximately 3,500 employees who assist Consumer, Preferred and Global Wealth Management clients with meeting their purchase, refinance and home equity needs and also led a network of Wealth Management Lending Officers as well as Custom Residential Real Estate Specialists supporting our High Net Worth Clients of Merrill and Private Bank. Prior to Retail Sales, he also served as the West Division Fulfillment Operations Executive for Bank of America Home Loans, with responsibility for the end-to-end management and performance of secured underwriting and fulfillment operations of more than 3,000 associates in the Western United States.
Owens also served as the Production Executive for National Mortgage Outreach for Bank of America. In this role, he was responsible for the end-to-end management, performance and development of Bank of America’s network Customer Assistance Centers, which consisted of 50 locations and 1,000 employees across the country. He also was responsible for the end-to-end management, performance and development of the Advocacy line of business, which consisted of more than 1,000 employees working with Non Profit and For Profit third parties in serving clients with loss mitigation.
A mortgage and financial services industries veteran of more than 30 years, Owens spent three years as a consultant and practitioner in the financial services industry consulting for Fannie Mae, Genworth Financial, The Homeownership Preservation Foundation, Springboard Credit Counseling and Grand Bank. Prior to consulting, Owens was the Chief Sales Officer for Aurora Loan Services, where he led all aspects of the wholesale sales channel. He has also held senior management roles at Option One Mortgage Corporation, and was the Chief Operating Officer at H&R Block Mortgage Corporation where he spent seven years building the firms retail mortgage banking business.
