Daniel Chu is a successful serial entrepreneur, having founded six companies over the past twenty-eight years, including two which became public. Chu currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Tricolor Holdings, the nation’s largest used vehicle retailer focusing on the integrated sale and financing of vehicles to Hispanic consumers. The company has been recognized for two consecutive years as one of the “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine and was named the 2019 Auto Finance News Excellence Award for Technology. It has been recognized by Inc. Magazine for five consecutive years as one of the fastest growing companies in America, while also receiving distinction as one of the ten fastest growing privately-held companies in the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Most recently, the Company was awarded certification as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Treasury Department, becoming the only lender among all auto asset-backed securities in the US to earn this designation. Chu is a former college basketball coach. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Washington University and holds a M.S. in Athletic Administration from the University of Miami.
